Since we are in locked up due to the corona virus, I will be the subject of the story.
Due to recommendations by the CDC to where a mask, I researched and learned how to mask a face mask for going out in public. The value of this is teaching people they can protect themselves and others with common household items.
This video was shot May 3 in Mount Pleasant using an iPhone. It was edited with both Adobe Premiere and iMovie.
I learned that no matter how little items someone has at their residence, it is possible to make a face mask.
In terms of video, I learned about implementing audio, adding titles and subtitles, and how difficult getting even a simple shot can be.
In terms of doing things differently, I actually had a different video shot completely. Unfortunately, I had a brain-fart and most of the shots were vertical instead of horizontal.

Soo Eagles organization makes it mark across Michigan
The Soo Eagles are a junior “A” hockey team located in Sault Ste. Marie. Although the Eagles are in the Eastern Upper Peninsula, it’s players have gone on to play college hockey all over the state.
Denver Pierce played on the west side of the U.P. at Northern Michigan. Chase Gamelin stayed in the Sault competing for Lake Superior State. Jared VanWormer traveled down state joining Ferris State. Goalie Chad Catt earned a scholarship from Michigan. Chase Matson went to Adrian College after completing his Eagles career.
Gamelin, Matson and Pierce all had similar careers point wise as an Eagle while Jared VanWormer produced 143 points. Chad Catt still managed to get his name on the scoresheet as a goalie assisting on one goal.
Above is a timeline featuring the duration of those five players during their junior “A” hockey careers. Most players had a three-year career in the NAHL, but Matson only played two seasons.
Who is the best player in Eagles history? VanWormer scored the goals, Pierce and Gamelin brought the physicality, Matson skated with speed and Catt was a brick-wall in the net.
Lasley enjoying NHL 20 success while quarantined
While the state of Michigan is currently on a “Stay Home” order, Zak Lasley has continued to enjoy hockey, virtually that is. Lasley has started a season on NHL 20 by EA Sports. He competes against others online from the comfort of his own house.
Peller still smiling through the Coronavirus
This exercise made me realize how hard it was to find a neutral color sometimes. If you living in an apartment with white walls, you will realize how difficult that may be. I used a blanket for a backdrop. My roommate, Kolbe Peller, posed for the photo.
