How to Make a Face Mask

Since we are in locked up due to the corona virus, I will be the subject of the story.
Due to recommendations by the CDC to where a mask, I researched and learned how to mask a face mask for going out in public. The value of this is teaching people they can protect themselves and others with common household items.
This video was shot May 3 in Mount Pleasant using an iPhone. It was edited with both Adobe Premiere and iMovie.
I learned that no matter how little items someone has at their residence, it is possible to make a face mask.
In terms of video, I learned about implementing audio, adding titles and subtitles, and how difficult getting even a simple shot can be.
In terms of doing things differently, I actually had a different video shot completely. Unfortunately, I had a brain-fart and most of the shots were vertical instead of horizontal.

Introducing Andy

I’m Andrew Glezen, but I go by Andy. I’m a senior at Central Michigan University with an interest in writing. My major is integrated public relations and my minor is journalism. I’m hoping to work for a public relations agency or corporation in the future. I like public relations more than journalism because I like telling positive sides of the story. I like helping people rather than exposing people or bringing someone down.

This blog is for my Journalism 340 class taught by Professor Brost. It is a class about digital journalism, which may be the main form of journalism today. I think that digital journalism is fascinating because we all have a mini newspaper in our hands. Our phone is such a great resource for news information. It seems like I’m getting news from Twitter or other forms of social media.
